Bombay High Court ने एक महत्वपूर्ण observation में कहा कि एक adult woman को उसके parents या State द्वारा न तो जबरदस्ती घर वापस भेजा जा सकता है और न ही उसकी इच्छा के विरुद्ध marriage के लिए compel किया जा सकता है। यह मामला केवल एक परिवार का dispute नहीं था, बल्कि adult व्यक्ति की personal liberty, dignity और choice से जुड़ा महत्वपूर्ण constitutional issue था। Case की Background इस case में एक 21-year-old woman Hyderabad में अपने parental home से voluntarily निकलकर Mumbai में independent life जी रही थी। उसका कहना था कि वह अपनी इच्छा के विरुद्ध marriage नहीं करना चाहती थी और higher education तथा financial independence चाहती थी। Family की ओर से missing person report भी की गई थी, जिसके बाद woman ने Court से protection और coercive action रोकने की मांग की। Court ने क्या कहा?
