Profit, Loss, Set-off और Carry Forward का आसान Calculation
Tax calculation करते समय transaction value, eligible business expenses, loss set-off और return filing की due date भी महत्वपूर्ण होती है।
इसलिए इसका profit या loss “Profits and Gains of Business or Profession” के अंतर्गत दिखाया जाता है, न कि Capital Gains में।

Premium
₹30 × 1,000 × 10 = ₹3,00,000
Scenario 1: Option Premium
Sale Value = ₹10 × 1,000 × 10 = ₹1,00,000
Trading Loss = ₹3,00,000 – ₹1,00,000 = ₹2,00,000
Net F&O Loss = ₹2,00,000 + ₹20,000 = ₹2,20,000
Scenario 2: Option Premium
Sale Value = ₹42 × 1,000 × 10 = ₹4,20,000
Trading Profit = ₹4,20,000 – ₹3,00,000 = ₹1,20,000
Net F&O Business Profit = ₹1,20,000 – ₹20,000 = ₹1,00,000
Income Tax Calculation

F&O से हुआ ₹2,20,000 का current-year non-speculative business loss salary income से adjust नहीं किया जा सकता।
₹2,20,000 – ₹50,000 = ₹1,70,000 Unabsorbed Business Loss
Salary income ₹15,00,000 taxable
Income Tax Department का official loss set-off guide भी यही treatment स्पष्ट करता है।
F&O Loss Carry Forward
Non-speculative F&O business loss को अधिकतम 8 अगले Tax Years तक carry forward किया जा सकता है।
अगले वर्षों में यह brought-forward loss केवल eligible business or professional income से set-off होगा।
इसे salary, other sources और अन्य taxable income के साथ जोड़कर applicable tax regime की slab rates पर tax calculate किया जाता है।
Actual tax liability
Old या New Tax Regime के विकल्प पर
उपलब्ध deductions पर
surcharge और health and education cess पर
Taxpayer को ITR में Business Income Schedule, Current-Year Loss Adjustment और Carry-Forward Loss Schedule सही तरीके से भरना चाहिए।
Eligible Expenses Claim
Personal expenses claim
Tax Audit
Current-year non-speculative F&O loss को salary से set-off नहीं किया जा सकता, लेकिन इसे नियमों के अधीन अन्य eligible income से adjust किया जा सकता है।
